
The Persatuan Gimnastik Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (English: Kuala Lumpur Gymnastics Association) is the official governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. It was registered in 1974 as Persatuan Gimnastik Amatur Wilayah Persekutuan, however the name was changed to its current name in year 2000 when the Sports Commission decided to register sports bodies from the three Federal Territories which consist of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya separately.
The association’s main objective is to promote and develop gymnastics and its disciplines in line with the objectives and aims of International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and Malaysian Gymnastics Federation (MGF) to which it is affiliated to, as well as in accordance with the Sports Development Act and the laws of Malaysia. It also serves to develop and train athletes, technical officials, judges, and coaches to the highest level possible both locally as well as internationally. The association is recognized as the official representative body for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur in any sporting and competitive event within and outside the country.
